Costa Rican sunsets
If I had to name one thing that stood out about Costa Rica, it would have to be the sunsets. I consider myself quite the sunset connoisseur, yet these were like nothing I had ever experienced before (I wrote a poem while watching one such sunset at Roca Verde.) No matter where one was situated on the pacific coast it was hard to miss the slow descent of the sun behind the endless expanse of pacific blue. However, it was the aftereffects of the sunset that blew me away. For a good hour after the sun retired behind the distant horizon, the water and sky would be aglow with beautiful oranges and pinks. The flickering waters were akin to sparklers that danced on the rolling waves. The serenity of the calm, pillow palms poured out into the air as puffy, glowing clouds drifted across the earthly veranda. Words don't suffice, so I'll just shut up now. View these photos.
