After a wonderful breakfast, we headed off to church and enjoyed a very nice service. After the service, I was anxious to go to the beach. Michael was busy, but two of his friends were game, so we got in my car, put down the top, and headed down to Newport Beach.

Newport Beach was a decent beach, but certainly not one to write home about. We only stayed there a couple of hours, before heading back. Newport Beach reminded me too much of Ocean City in Maryland which I have been attending all my life. It thoroughly bored me. Then again, it's just a beach, I don't know what I was expecting to see. It had everything that a normal beach has: waves, sand, sun, pier, etc. I guess I was expecting more.
Anyway, after a couple of hours, we all went home. I spent the rest of the evening relaxing. All in all, Sunday was non-eventful. However, that's the way I wanted it. I knew I would regret it at the end of the week, but that always happens at the end of a vacation.

I spent a good deal of time on Sunday evening enjoying a beautiful sunset. It felt wonderful to sit back and enjoy the scenery without intrusion or interruption. There's something uniquely beautiful about enjoying God's creation in an unobstructed, personal, and private way. It becomes a form of meditation, a communion of devine, spiritual communication. This particular sunset exenterated these very feelings.
Corona means, "crown" in Spanish and is aptly named. Corona is surrounded on all sides by mountains, which seem to "crown" the city. This produces a wonderful "belated" sunset with bright skies and gorgeous colors. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
